Como respuesta urgente a las sangrientas ri\u00f1as registradas en el penal El Castillo de Mazatl\u00e1n \u2014que dejaron un saldo de 12 reclusos muertos y 17 heridos en menos de 48 horas\u2014, el secretario de Seguridad y Protecci\u00f3n Ciudadana, Omar Garc\u00eda Harfuch, confirm\u00f3 que el Gobierno de M\u00e9xico construir\u00e1 un nuevo centro penitenciario en Sinaloa con recursos federales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La medida, instruida directamente por la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum, busca aliviar la severa crisis de sobrepoblaci\u00f3n, violencia y autogobierno que enfrentan los penales estatales. El proyecto contempla instalaciones modernas, seguras y dotadas de la infraestructura tecnol\u00f3gica necesaria para retomar el control operativo y garantizar un mejor modelo penitenciario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mientras se concreta la edificaci\u00f3n del nuevo recinto, la Guardia Nacional y personal penitenciario federal brindar\u00e1n apoyo operativo para resguardar las instalaciones actuales. Con esta obra, la Federaci\u00f3n pretende frenar la violenta disputa entre facciones criminales que ha traspasado las rejas y debilitado la seguridad institucional en la entidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
