Unidos<\/strong>&nbsp;que&nbsp;<strong>restrinja el asilo<\/strong>&nbsp;e incremente las deportaciones sumarias, afirm\u00f3 la organizaci\u00f3n Human Rights Watch (HRW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El grupo envi\u00f3 una&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/es\/news\/2024\/01\/19\/mexico-deberia-rechazar-cualquier-nuevo-acuerdo-de-expulsion-de-solicitantes-de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">carta<\/a>&nbsp;al presidente Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador y a la secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores, Alicia B\u00e1rcena, quien se reunir\u00e1&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lopezdoriga.com\/nacional\/delegacion-del-gobierno-de-mexico-llega-a-washington-para-reunion-de-alto-nivel-con-ee-uu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">este viernes<\/a>&nbsp;en Washington con el secretario de Estado, Antony Blinken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La reuni\u00f3n ocurre mientras el Gobierno de Joe Biden y el Congreso estadounidense negocian un acuerdo sobre el presupuesto para el periodo fiscal 2024 que vincula la ayuda a Israel y Ucrania con la pol\u00edtica de migraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los legisladores&nbsp;<strong>republicanos<\/strong>, que tienen mayor\u00eda en la C\u00e1mara de Representantes,&nbsp;<strong>condicionan<\/strong>&nbsp;su apoyo a la provisi\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de&nbsp;<strong>100 mil millones de d\u00f3lares<\/strong>&nbsp;a&nbsp;<strong>Ucrania<\/strong>&nbsp;e&nbsp;<strong>Israel<\/strong>, a la&nbsp;<strong>restricci\u00f3n del derecho de asilo<\/strong>&nbsp;y del otorgamiento de residencia temporal a extranjeros por razones humanitarias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEl presidente L\u00f3pez Obrador tiene la oportunidad de defender los derechos de miles de migrantes y solicitantes de asilo vulnerables, en su mayor\u00eda latinoamericanos, neg\u00e1ndose a acceder a otro acuerdo que permita a Estados Unidos expulsar migrantes hacia M\u00e9xico\u201d, indic\u00f3 Juanita Goebertus, directora para las Am\u00e9ricas de Human Rights Watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEl presidente de M\u00e9xico deber\u00eda dejar en claro que no pretende ser c\u00f3mplice de este intento, por parte de congresistas estadounidenses, de despedazar el sistema de asilo de Estados Unidos\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HRW indic\u00f3 que, bajo las medidas propuestas, los funcionarios de migraci\u00f3n tendr\u00edan atribuciones para&nbsp;<strong>expulsar<\/strong>&nbsp;a los&nbsp;<strong>solicitantes de asilo<\/strong>&nbsp;sin una evaluaci\u00f3n de sus casos, y&nbsp;<strong>restringir\u00edan<\/strong>&nbsp;el programa de&nbsp;<strong>permisos humanitarios<\/strong>&nbsp;que beneficia a personas de&nbsp;<strong>Cuba<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Hait\u00ed<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Venezuela<\/strong>&nbsp;y&nbsp;<strong>Nicaragua<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLas propuestas que se est\u00e1n considerando en Estados Unidos podr\u00edan tener consecuencias devastadoras para los derechos de los migrantes y solicitantes de asilo, socavar\u00edan el derecho a solicitar asilo y expondr\u00edan
