La Justicia de Estados Unidos<\/strong> conden\u00f3 a hasta 15 a\u00f1os<\/strong> de c\u00e1rcel<\/strong> por homicidio involuntario<\/strong> a los padres<\/strong> de un menor<\/strong> que desat\u00f3 un tiroteo<\/strong> en un colegio<\/strong> en Michigan<\/strong> en 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James y Jennifer Crumbley<\/strong> fueron condenados<\/strong> cada uno a entre 10 y 15 a\u00f1os de c\u00e1rcel por el ataque<\/strong> que cometi\u00f3 su hijo, Ethan<\/strong> Crumbley<\/strong>, en 2021 cuando ten\u00eda 15 a\u00f1os, en el que murieron cuatro estudiantes y otros siete resultaron heridos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La pareja fue arrestada poco despu\u00e9s del tiroteo y permanecieron desde entonces bajo arresto con una fianza conjunta de un mill\u00f3n de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El tribunal estatal acus\u00f3 a los Crumbley<\/a> de haber permitido que su hijo tuviera acceso al arma<\/strong> con la que cometi\u00f3 el crimen, una pistola que hab\u00eda comprado el padre solo cuatro d\u00edas antes del tiroteo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s, los padres<\/strong> fueron acusados de haber ignorado<\/strong> los problemas de salud mental<\/strong> que ten\u00eda su hijo<\/strong> y que se pusieron de manifiesto, por ejemplo, en un dibujo que hizo de una pistola y un hombre herido con frases como: \u201cLos pensamientos no se detienen. Durante la audiencia, los padres de los menores que fallecieron en el tiroteo increparon a la pareja condenada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLiteralmente cada aspecto de mi vida ha sido afectado por esta tragedia\u201d, dijo el padre de una de las v\u00edctimas. \u201cLa sangre de nuestros hijos est\u00e1 en sus manos\u201d, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La sentencia<\/strong> marca un precedente legal<\/strong> en EE.UU.<\/strong>, ya que representa la primera vez en la que los padres o responsables legales de un menor de edad son condenados por un tiroteo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante el juicio, que se extendi\u00f3 por varios meses, los fiscales argumentaron que los Crumbley podr\u00edan haber evitado el ataque pero decidieron \u201cno hacer nada\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En diciembre del a\u00f1o pasado<\/a>, Ethan Crumbley<\/strong> fue condenado a cadena perpetua<\/strong> por el tiroteo<\/strong>, declar\u00e1ndose culpable un delito de terrorismo, cuatro de asesinato y otros 19 cargos relacionados con la matanza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
