href=\"https:\/\/lopezdoriga.com\/ciencia-tecnologia\/eeuu-emite-alerta-tormenta-geomagnetica-severa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">comenz\u00f3 el viernes<\/a>&nbsp;termin\u00f3 este domingo en M\u00e9xico tras d\u00edas en los que algunas regiones del pa\u00eds observaron&nbsp;<strong>auroras<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>boreales<\/strong>, inform\u00f3 el Instituto de Geof\u00edsica de la Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Servicio de Clima Espacial M\u00e9xico (Sciesmex) del instituto report\u00f3 en un&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dgcs.unam.mx\/boletin\/bdboletin\/2024_361.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">comunicado<\/a>&nbsp;que la&nbsp;<strong>tormenta geomagn\u00e9tica severa<\/strong>&nbsp;dur\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 39 horas, pero ahora est\u00e1 en fase de recuperaci\u00f3n, caracterizada por una disminuci\u00f3n gradual de su intensidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLos \u00edndices geomagn\u00e9ticos regionales de M\u00e9xico (kmex) indican valores no perturbados desde hace m\u00e1s de nueve horas, por lo que podemos considerar que el evento de la tormenta geomagn\u00e9tica severa ha concluido\u201d, afirm\u00f3 la instituci\u00f3n.https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C611nwmRQWx\/embed\/captioned\/?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las&nbsp;<strong>condiciones geomagn\u00e9ticas<\/strong>&nbsp;en la atm\u00f3sfera del&nbsp;<strong>hemisferio norte<\/strong>&nbsp;han sido las m\u00e1s extremas que se registran desde octubre de 2003, lo que propici\u00f3 que la aurora se viera en lugares donde es muy poco frecuente, seg\u00fan la Oficina Nacional de Administraci\u00f3n Oce\u00e1nica y Atmosf\u00e9rica de Estados Unidos (NOAA, en ingl\u00e9s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan la Organizaci\u00f3n Meteorol\u00f3gica Mundial, la tormenta consiste en un fen\u00f3meno luminoso en capas superiores de la atm\u00f3sfera con formas como arcos, bandas o cortinas, a una altitud de entre 90 y 150 kil\u00f3metros, por la interacci\u00f3n entre el viento solar y el campo magn\u00e9tico de la Tierra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Instituto de Geof\u00edsica de la UNAM avis\u00f3 que \u201cexiste la posibilidad de que llegue otra&nbsp;<strong>tormenta solar<\/strong>&nbsp;al entorno terrestre en las pr\u00f3ximas horas\u201d, por lo que \u201cla condici\u00f3n de tormenta geomagn\u00e9tica podr\u00eda incrementar nuevamente su intensidad y extender su duraci\u00f3n por algunas horas\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A\u00fan as\u00ed, matiz\u00f3 que la regi\u00f3n activa AR3664, responsable de las tormentas solares que ocasionaron la tormenta geomagn\u00e9tica del 10 de mayo, se est\u00e1 aproximando al limbo solar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSe espera que las tormentas solares que pueda producir ahora tengan menores efectos en la Tierra\u201d, concluy\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Con informaci\u00f3n de
